First, I want to say how happy I am to become part of the family of CCWH.  Joining with them in Spirit and in Divine purpose for the spiritual growth of all mankind.

I am a native Washingtonian (apparently a rare species) and grew up in a loving family, raised in the Methodist Church here, and in the Southern Baptist Church during summer visits to my Grandparents.  I was the child always causing a problem in Sunday school by asking 'ridiculous' questions about Heaven and about God.  I asked questions like: Where were we and what do we do before we are born?  What do we do once we die and get to Heaven?  Doesn't God have work for us to do when we are there?  Isn't eternity a long time to be doing nothing but hanging out with God and Jesus?  Obviously these weren't popular questions, and I was told to just accept that God loved us, and 'hanging out with him in Heaven' after we died was a good enough explanation.  I also grew up seeing angels or fairies in my room every night (lights floating in the room) and talking with them, knowing that they loved me and protected me.   I had many out of body experiences, and psychic visions as a child, and was told that I had been 'dreaming' or 'daydreaming'.
As a teen my eclectic interests intrigued some of my friends, and got me labeled as a hippie by others. Always feeling strongly about peace, equality, fairness, and similar issues, I could be found joining peace protests so popular in the late 60's and early 70's (there I go giving away my age!).  What I could not  accept at the time was all of the drug use, and now I realize that many of the folks using drugs are actually trying to reach spiritual levels or access spiritual energy, but they didn't know what they were really seeking, and how to truly achieve that high level of awareness without getting 'high'.  I also know in my heart that drugs and other artificial means are not the way to go.  The tools we need are inside each of us, and use of artifical means are not a true path to self realization.

God has given each of us a gift to access high spiritual levels and energies.  That gift is within each of us, not outside of us.

God is inside each of us, not something 'out there' or 'up there', God is HERE, NOW.

I have been blessed with many wonderful teachers coming into my life, always at 'just the right time'.  Some blessings from Spirit have even come in the form of 'a 2x4 to the head' when needed.  :-)

I believe that 'God' does not judge us.  I believe we judge ourselves.  I see 'God' as a loving parental presence.  This presence loves us dearly and completely.  'God' may be saddened by some of the things that we do, but loves us unconditionally.     As we learn to love ourselves and others unconditionally, we begin to heal and to grow.
